Dancing Schools for the young ....

Can I just say - I know some of you might have had a good experience going to dance school when you were younger - but some times when I'm watching the choreography of the under 10's etc I think to myself "geez I hope these are free lessons you're getting."
And everyone claps and cheers - reminds me of Christmas where we lie to our kids about Santa (anagram of SATAN) and so we clap and encourage these naturally rhythm deficient Lilliputians as they stumble back stage and wait for the encore!

I think the only dancing that I see coming out the other end, for those that make it, is highland dancing! Seriously now ... apart from highland dancing ... can you remember at country shows and school fêtes any other dancing groups performing? No I don't think so ... therefore I hypothesise that if you put your kid through dancing group the only thing you'll reap is a highland dancer - happy bag-piping!!

The brand of the Single Christian Male

So ... I was talking to a couple of single sisters from my old church and they were complaining about how they are sick of always going to the Christian women's conventions and having to sit thru the "Single Women Contentment" Talk elective.

But I think the Men's conferences (whether run by an organisation in the mountains or by your local church) really top it off when it comes to branding the single guy.

You see, when you're single man and you're a Christian, you almost always come under the category of sexual sin. That is, the assumption is - "oh you're single? Then you must be a porn addicted chronic masturbator!!".
